「アイロンの職人」ヴィンテージ素材を中心に縫製するためにアイロン作業は欠かせません。
手で丁寧にアイロンを掛けるこの作業もとても大切です。
「織りネームを付ける職人」
ほぼ全ての商品に付ける織りネーム。
ここでは片手で縫製くださるスタッフもいますがとても丁寧に縫い付けます。
「口金の取り付け」
国内でも口金の取付が難しい工場はかなり増えました。
現在、1名の職員のみが可能な腕の必要な作業。
カタカタとミシンの向こうに真剣な眼差しで生産に取り組んでくださる
皆様の努力とやる気に支えられています。
その人にしか出来ないもの作りをたくさんの方々にお届けしたいと思っています。
2021年より一部バッグの生産は国内外の革職人さんなどと共にもの作りを行っています。
At Chicolatte, we use vintage fabrics—
primarily from Europe in the 1980s—to create one-of-a-kind remade items.
We consider the charm of scarf fabric and the unique texture that comes with age—
a hallmark of vintage pieces—to be part of their appeal,
and we craft each item by hand.
We carefully select our fabrics from the very beginning,
choosing pieces that are as free of stains and imperfections as possible;
however, because we preserve the authentic character of vintage (pre-owned) materials,
signs of aging or fraying may be present.
Please understand that these are part of each item’s unique character before making a purchase.
*Fabrics are dry-cleaned before sewing.
We are committed to handmade production and manufacture all our items domestically.
Approximately 80% of our products are created in collaboration with individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
We have remained steadfast in this commitment to our production process since the brand’s inception.
